Uh I can't actually think of anything particularly splendidly new I tried lately, but I did go to a new place lately so that counts? I'm always a bit worried about fish because some fish are just *way* too strong for me, but I had grilled toothfish and it was stupidly delicious.

I like, but the thing is that anything that's *too* strong a flavour doesn't sit well with me. Salmon is fantastic. Mackerel tends to disagree. I can't take tuna sashimi unless it's ootoro, which is ridiculously good as it melts in your mouth, but I don't take too much of that because of overfishing...
