ETERNAL FLOWER OF YOUR SOUL is a biting satire of the minimalist mindfulness movement and the queen of cleanliness, Marie Kondo. As someone that read The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up unironically and found some of her admissions unhinged I ate this book up. It was both comical and repulsive but remained incredibly effective in it’s commitment to the premise.
The book becomes extremely graphic and is the only book that I’ve read that truly was too much for me that I had to skim through sections of the book. I read enough of these sections to know what was happening but for my own sake could not read all the details. I’ve read some gnarly books in the spatterpunk and extreme horror genres and but this one took the cake. Heavy warnings advised, but the perfect book for those that are looking for the type of horror that will push their boundaries.
