Synopsis:
Here once was an old woman who lived alone in the woods. After a night of heavy rain, the woman came across a ditch she had never seen before. In the ditch, laid the dead bodies of several young women. The woman had no idea who would do such a thing. It couldn't have been her mother, father or cousin because they're all dead already.

I found this little webcomic entirely by accident and my goodness am I glad that I did. I had read another graphic novel illustrated by E.M. Carroll and decided to check their art out, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they has a number of webcomics available to read on their website. Out of Skin is a short webcomic about a woman living alone in the woods who finds a mass grave filled with women’s bodies.
The haunting prose and grisly art are magnificent. There were a few simple animations that added a nice little touch to the visual language of the story. Overall it is a great short by a wonderful artist that deserves more attention and praise. I am so excited to have found their work and will be reading through their catalog of comics in the future.
