Book Review Policy

Thank you for visiting my blog and for your interest in my reviews.

Currently, I am CLOSED to receiving review copies of books unless I personally request them. I currently review for a few ARC teams and I have a backlog of books I have purchased normally that I’d like to knock out for the first quarter of 2025.

Before rushing to submit your review request I do ask that you kindly read through this page in its entirety to be sure that I am the right reviewer for your book!

I have never and will never accept compensation in exchange for reviews. My reviews are entirely my opinion and I always review with honesty and integrity.

A little about me…
I have been reviewing books and blogging for the better part of ten years at this point, having started in 2014. I am a critical reader and according to Book Sirens, more so than the average reviewer. Oddly, I tend to like books that receive lower ratings on Goodreads. I am also a mood reader so the genres that I read tend to be all over the place. I strongly recommend looking at my Goodreads and Book Sirens profiles to see further statistics and get an idea of what types of books I read.

Keep in mind also that I am a full-time professional, a wife, and a parent, so I have a bit of a busy schedule, though I do usually read a few books a week.

Frankly I don’t really have triggers. But for genres like extreme horror, I need either strong plot or character to stay engaged.

Accepted Formats

• Physical (Any)
Please let me know if you would like to send a physical copy and we can work out details on the best method for shipping. I prefer physical copies come from major or small presses instead of individual authors, but this may change in the future if I get a P.O. Box.

• Ebook (Epub)
If your book is on NetGalley an invite link to the e-galley will also work. Otherwise, an ebook file or amazon gift will be acceptable.

I do not accept audiobooks or PDF copies of books.

What Happens if I Accept?

I will try to read and review the book close to publication date if possible with my schedule. I always rate books on Goodreads as soon as I finish and write a review not long after. I will always post my review on Goodreads as soon as it has been written, and I usually schedule the review on my blog on or close to the publication date if the book is an advanced reader copy (ARC). If the book has already been released then I will try to get to the book when I can. I cannot guarantee when I will be able to complete the request.

Please do not reach out to me if you do not like my review or my rating, nothing good will come of it and I will not respond. I will never write anything mean or personal, but I must reiterate that my rating and review are my opinion.
