Games Played
And here I thought I was going to play a story game, and instead got completely sucked into TCG Card Shop Simulator after seeing a few folks play it on streams with Pokemon mods. I’ve racked up 80 hours in a month which is impressive even for me. Maybe I’ll write a review once I have 100% all of the achievements, which I’m just 4 away from! Besides that I played a smattering of mobile games and I played a little bit of Cook Serve Delicious 2, my favorite of the CSD games which I have yet to 100%.

Life and Other Things
Not much to say this month, I’ve been sick as all get out with the flu and it was awful. I stayed inside during Halloween to avoid getting anyone else sick. My oldest daughter invited her (first!) boyfriend over to watch movies, but he showed up after trick or treating and only stuck around for a bit before leaving. My best friend came over with her boyfriend and it was nice to catch up. Youngest had a blast trick or treating, and my husband and a few of his junior sailors had a blast handing out candy. All in all a nice and calm Halloween.
Books Hauled
I put myself on a book buying ban after this month to save up for holiday shopping in November for Christmas. I got a bunch of books I pre-ordered at the end of September however, which is part of why the book list is so big! I by chance ran into the Tor Nightfire HumbleBundle and couldn’t resist!
I also ordered a pile of books from Tilted Axis Press, an indie publisher that specializes in translated literature, especially from countries less likely to make it to the West. They have a Crowd Funder going currently to help fund their initiative and expand their distribution. They are a wonderful little press that I hope more people will check out!
Now I have an ABUNDANCE of books to read over the Christmas holiday into next new and I’m so excited!

Next Month
I’m not sure what I’ll be reading in the month of November yet! Currently my Kindle Unlimited subscription goes until the 14th, so I’m going to knock out as much indie horror using that as I can. After that I’ll be diving into my backlist ARCs and physical purchases. The flu had drained my energy completely and made it difficult to write. I’m still recovering and have a lingering cough, so it’s going to be a bit until I can catch up on writing reviews, especially for all of the books I finished this month.
