After a weaker volume two, volume three introduces the &#8220;fateful prophecy&#8221; that has been missing from this series. The volume introduces some fantastic side characters and details the mythology of the dragon king and his four guardians. This is the volume where Yona begins to find her will to fight and protect those that she loves. I really liked the trio of characters that Yona meets that are key to the beginning of her journey, particularly Kija.<\/p>\n<p>The pacing felt much more even, with characters and events given more attention and development. Even Hak has been better represented, and some of the ick from the last volume had been toned down. This volume had just the right amount of comedy and heartfelt moments to balance the plot out with characters I could actually care about. I really enjoyed this volume, it made me excited to jump into the next few volumes and really commit to reading this series. Not that I had any doubt considering how highly praised this series is, and with this volume it really began to shape up as a strong fantasy adventure.<\/p>\n<h2>Quote<\/h2>\n<p><center><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;But heaven can only show you the <strong>path<\/strong>.
