A literal psychedelic trip through hell, my brain felt like it was melting while reading, as if I was the one tripping. I&#8217;ve never been anywhere near mushrooms in my life, but I was reminded of the one bad trip I had with some edibles that made me feel like the room was spinning in circles and my body was flying through space at the same time. Sonnet&#8217;s ability to illicit that level of immersion is testament to her skill as a writer.
