The book is shocking and grotesque in all the best ways while not sacrificing storytelling.<\/p>\n<p>I wish that Madelyn was a better developed character and that the relationship between Tyler and his fianc\u00e9e was more convincing. The lead up to the spectacular ending was weak and I didn&#8217;t quite feel as invested as I might have.
