Thanksgiving! My mom tricked us into having Thanksgiving at her place this year with an offer to get the turkey while we could bring sides. She catered from Honey Baked Ham and while I normally like them, this year it was not so great. The good news is, I mastered my green bean casserole and it saved Thanksgiving dinner. The casserole was demolished and a relative that is normally really picky about other people’s cooking (ex-step dad) loved it so much he asked if he could bring leftovers home. It’s crazy too, because I learned from the Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom recipe on the can, and I fried up some fresh bacon to add to it. Last year we had three casseroles (myself, my mother, and my ex-step dad) used different varieties. I used old reliable cream of mushroom, while the other two used cream of chicken and cream of celery. After trying the other two, I will continue to stick with reliable cream of mushroom.<\/p>\n
