Not a lot of updates about me, but unfortunately for my older daughter teen she took a serious tumble at school. She fell and hit the asphalt while running to catch up with a friend. Her face and lip were busted up pretty good and she broke one of her front teeth. My poor sweet girl has never had any serious injuries in her life but she has been a tough cookie about it. She got very lucky that her root wasn’t exposed (though tit was close!) and we’ll be taking her to get a crown next month.<\/p>\n At the end of the month I made the annual trek to Willimasburg for Scares That Care AuthorCon VI! I’ll admit I was less excited this year than in previous years, partially because I wasn’t sure whether or not I was going until the Wednesday before the con but I still had fun! I participated in the Silent Auction for the first time, talked to a lot of my favorite authors and bought some new books. I managed to score some really cool special editions, the highlight being two author copies of Thunderstorm editions from Clay McLeod Chapman and V. Castro! While I may have been in a bit of a book slump, I have been in a full video game revival this month and I’ve been having so much fun! I’ve been playing a few new games that I got during the holiday steam sales as well as a few games from my backlist. I’ve also been working on some more game reviews for the blog and I hope to continue writing those in the future!<\/p>\n
