\"\"Ripples<\/em> is a short and sweet kinetic novel about a depressed boy and a chance encounter with a girl. The game only takes about ten minutes to play, so I won’t discuss the story other than to say that it is uplifting, and the girl is a bit of a manic pixie dream girl. Seriously, who feeds cats cookies?<\/p>\n

Beyond that, this little game was an impressive first showing by the developer. It’s a kinetic novel, which means that it is a linear story with no choices to be made, so it’s a complete experience. It’s fully voice acted with calming music that matches the wholesome art. The game is free, and it’s a genuinely wholesome slice of life story.<\/p>\n
