I kept seeing reviewers talk about this book with shy giggles and curiosity got the best of me. Friends, Spread Me is HORNY in the most uncomfortable way possible. I’m no prude by any means, but this book made me blush. New kink fear unlocked?
A team of researchers at a remote desert outpost come across a bizarre specimen buried in the sand, and with the threat of a dust storm they bring the specimen inside. The story from there quickly spirals out of control with some of the most original eco-horror that I’ve ever encountered. The book is not afraid to explore themes of sexual desire and the shame that often comes with it. I really loved the main cast of characters and how the book developed relationships only to destroy them.
A serious slump buster for sure, the book moves at a breakneck pace with an ending that I found incredibly satisfying. What can I say, other than that I’ve never read a book quite like this, and I don’t think I will ever again.
