What kind of TCG player are you?

I thought this would be fun. What kind of TCG player are you, or rather, what is your #1 favorite activity to do while playing TCGs? I know everyone can probably check off most boxes on the poll, but I thought it'd be fun to see what folks would pick as their #1.

For me, I mainly just really like to make cards, more than anything else. I've run a few TCGs in my day, and I have hundreds of decks made for other projects even outside of Honey. Playing TCGs comes second, and even then, I'm also one of those shrewd "trade everything!" types that will spend hours making trades on busier TCGs if I'm able. I don't even get nearly as excited when I level up or master decks.

I'm a scavenger when I'm playing TCGs other people have started. I literally go down the member list, raiding for every trade I can make. Since it's been a while, it's more the novelty than anything else. I will probably only do this 1-2 each week, long term.

I prefer a TCG to be moderately active. If it's super active, I'll get overwhelmed and be unable to keep up. It takes away the fun.

When I ran Zest, I preferred to make cards and do the rewards. I don't have the computer power to handle software for TCG cards, or else I'd have kept up with it. When I ran TCGs, I would feel guilty for playing it? It's weird. ALSO, though, the fun of it was removed for me because I wanted to have ALL THE CARDS -- but like...I just wanted them to be out there. I love the randomizer, seeing all the cards.~

While I love seeing cards on my trading post and all that, I do think I prefer to run TCGs than actually play them?? It was sooo fulfilling when people were EXCITED about card releases.

I just ran TCGs during a difficult time in my life, so of course I tried to do too much before I needed to. Ha.

Definitely "Trading with other members, scavenging the entire member list for them."

I love the whole experience of TCGs, but the best part for me is trading and seeing others get cards they want (from me), then in return getting cards I want.

As for the other choose that I'm like, is collecting. I LOVE collecting digital things. XD

COLLECTING... my brain definitely gets the good chemicals from seeing what rewards i get, and finishing the decks i'm collecting. there's something about seeing all the cards together. fancy pixels make brain go brrrr

My playing style is a mixed bag. I like trading and interacting with other members, I love progressing, and I do enjoy donating and helping out for certain Tcg themes. When it comes to anime Tcg's though, I find it harder to donate, because there are a lot of newer series, and not-so-new but still not a that old series, that I haven't really watched yet.

Im a little staff bot usually for TCGs I join. Either deck maker or general staff/matinenance haha. I like to think im casual for the most part, but depending on the deck or theme, there are some things ill go full 100% on haha.

I like collecting! Something about seeing a full set when you master a deck is just so much love. But scouring a trade post is really fun too, like when you catch that perfect trade. Levelling up doesn't really make a ding on my TCG meter I guess, because I don't notice it until I look at my card count and am like

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait.

But masteries? definitely.

I really like making cards. I sometimes find it hard to maintain an exact schedule so the running of a tcg is much harder on me.
