Life and Other Things

So a majority of this month has been spent on the couch on recovery. My leg is healing well but I have had other complications from medication, and have had a few trips back to the doctor and one ER visit for severe migraines which I’ve never experienced before. The tests I underwent were more hellish than the migraines, so I’ve spent the month in recovery. The stopped taking as much medication and though it was very hard on my body, the migraines did eventually clear up. One highlight health wise is that I got to switch from my awful surgery wrap over to a boot. The surgery scars are pretty gnarly, and I’m still dealing with a lot of swelling and pain, but managing.

I officially returned to work in the middle of the month, albeit remotely, and it’s been a struggle mentally to focus after all the heavy medication I was on, but I’m catching up on lost time. I also found out that I was eligible for temporary disability at work, so I’ve been chasing that around all month to get backpay from all the weeks of missed work. Suffice to say, I have barely done a thing this month that was fun.

Books Hauled

This month’s haul is a little unhinged. Look, I was depressed, and took advantage of a lot of deals.
