unsurprised to see king win the horror category, i guess he's got that brand recognition. it would have been cool to see a different author win! i'm also not surprised to see fourth wing; some of my classmates even recommended it to me. it's on my list to read eventually, especially since the main character has EDS/HSD which is also something i deal with, and representation for chronic illness is always cool.

The only winner from the Goodreads awards I've actually read is Hell Bent and honestly it probably didn't deserve that win sdfskjfsksd BUT I'm not surprised about most of these winners since this is just a popularity contest anyway. I do have In the Lives of Puppets on my to read list and I've been rec'd Fourth Wing like eighty times so I'll probably get around to those eventually.
